About me

I’m Erika Ayales Bracero, the CEO and owner of Small Hearts Photography, based in Maywood, New Jersey. As a dedicated photographer with a passion for capturing life’s most precious moments, I specialize in newborn, maternity, and family photography. My journey began in high school and continued through the School of Visual Arts, where I earned a BFA in Fine Arts, refining my craft and focusing on newborn safety.

Since opening my home studio in August 2020, I’ve been honored to create timeless memories for families, especially moms and their newborns. As a Latina-owned small business, I take pride in offering a personalized experience that makes every family feel cherished. My goal is to blend artistry with the joy of witnessing families grow. I offer both in-studio and at-home sessions, bringing my expertise directly to you to create a relaxed and familiar environment.

Beyond my professional life, I’m a wife to my husband Johnathan, a daughter, a sister, and a devoted mommy to my delightful two-year-old, Emma, as well as our beloved yorkie, Buddy. Maternity Packages

Maternity shoots are best when the expecting mother is between 28-34 weeks pregnant. Maternity gowns are included for each package. If you are interested in hair and makeup, I recommend Beauty and Grace Beauty Salon located near the studio.

Newborn Packages

Newborns are best when photographed within the first two weeks. All outfits and fabrics are included for the newborn packages. We have an endless supply of blankets, headbands, tiebacks, knits and props so you don’t need to bring anything!
